Nikon Won't Sell Parts!

 

Camera Repair Businesses want to use original Nikon parts when they repair Nikon cameras.  SPT also believes that consumers and dealers have a right to buy and install Nikon parts in their camera …  if they want.  What's so hard to understand that "it's a free country". 

In American, consumers have a right to decide what they want done with the property they own.  That is also what the law says.  But Nikon hides behind its size and lawyers .. evading the law.

Nikon and other Japanese camera manufactures came to America and the combination of their quality cameras and the USA giving them access to our free markets made these companies rich!  All we are asking is that Nikon respect our American free market system.  What's so hard about that?

Frankly we find Nikon's policy both offensive and insulting .. a slap in the face of every American and a shame to the Japanese people who expect their companies to behave honorably overseas.

Consider this … Whatever car you own (Toyota, Ford, whatever);  if you want to repair your own car and use original parts you can go to the manufacture and purchase the parts you need.  If you want 'Bob's Car Service' down the street to do the repair using original parts, Bob's buys the same parts from the manufacture.  If you want your local dealership to repair your car the same thing is true.  The consumer decides!  That's the American free market … What's so hard about that?

 

We encourage you to do your own searches on the web and judge for yourself to see if consumer interests are being served by Nikon's restriction of trade policy!
